My passion for helping Veterans began long before I became a mortgage lender. When my husband, a U.S. Army Veteran, and I were shopping for our second home, one of the first things we did was get pre-approved. We worked with a well-known financial institution that serves military members and assumed we were getting a great rate and competitive pricing. Our real estate agent kept encouraging us to get a second opinion from a mortgage broker. We put it off a couple of times, but eventually agreed to have a conversation. That conversation changed everything. We learned that the loan we had been offered came with a higher interest rate and higher costs than what was available to us elsewhere. It was frustrating to realize that we had assumed we were receiving the best option simply because the company marketed heavily to Veterans. That experience taught me the value of education, transparency, and having someone in your corner who takes the time to explain your options. Today, more than half of my clients use the VA loan, and I have helped many Veterans achieve homeownership who initially believed they couldn’t qualify. Today, I help Veterans and military families navigate the VA loan process with clear communication, honest guidance, and personal advocacy. My goal is to help my clients save money, avoid surprises, close on time, and feel confident throughout the process.
