As a VVA6, the professional plays a pivotal role in the lower-level management of Vetted VA, focusing on overseeing and supporting multiple squads while advancing the organization’s mission of empowering veterans. This position is ideal for experienced and dedicated VVA team members who have demonstrated leadership as squad leaders and are ready to contribute to organizational growth and veteran advocacy. VVA6 professionals are responsible for managing the Veteran Training Benefit (VTB) collection, maintaining an accurate and up-to-date roster, and developing valuable educational resources tailored to veterans' needs.
In this role, the professionals act as a liaisons for VVA squads, providing guidance and ensuring alignment with VVA’s mission and goals. Their leadership experience as a squad leader will equip them to manage squad dynamics effectively, foster team collaboration, and contribute to the organization's success. They develop and write educational courses specifically for veterans, creating engaging relevant content to address their unique challenges. Managing the VTB collection will require strong organizational skills to ensure data integrity and compliance, while regular roster scrubbing will help maintain accurate records and optimal squad composition.
To qualify for this role, the professional must have at least three years of experience with Vetted VA, demonstrate loyalty, make meaningful contributions, and have in-depth knowledge of the organization. Strong communication, team management, and mentorship skills are essential, as well as the ability to create impactful educational content. A deep commitment to veteran advocacy and an understanding of their educational needs are critical to excelling in this position.
